Grief Support After the Death of a Child

The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to

assist families toward the positive resolution of

grief following the death of a child and to provide

information to help others be supportive.  We are a

national nonprofit, self-help support organization

that offers friendship, understanding, and hope to

bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings.  Our

meetings are open to family members who are

grieving the death of a child of any age and by any

cause.  There is no religious affiliation, and there

are no membership dues or fees.  Our goal is that

everyone who needs us will find us and everyone

who finds us will be helped.

Program: Tear Soup DVD & Small Group Discussions Featured at July Meeting

For a summer change of pace, we will be viewing the DVD "Tear Soup" at our meeting on July 14. The DVD is about 20

minutes long.  Many of you have read the book Tear Soup.  FollowIng the viewing of  the DVD, we will be breaking Into

small for group discussions about whatever is on our minds.

If you haven't already done so, please bring a small photograph of your child for our butterflies that will be carried at the

NatIonal Conference's Walk to Remember.  Each parent will include a note about or to their child along with the picture.

If this is your child's birthday month, please bring a framed picture of your child for our birthday table.

We hope to see you at the July meeting.
